Your Tarot Card of the Year 2024 Revealed, Plus Big Changes Coming in 2024.

Okay, here’s my blog post about figuring out my Tarot Card of the Year for 2024, written in a casual, personal style:

So, I got into this whole “Tarot Card of the Year” thing a while back. It’s kinda fun, and sometimes it’s surprisingly spot-on. The idea is you figure out which Major Arcana card lines up with the year, and that’s supposed to give you a heads-up about the big themes you’ll be dealing with. I decided to calculate mine for 2024 and walk you through how I did it.

Getting Started

First, I needed to remember the formula. It’s pretty simple, You take the current year, and add up all the individual numbers.

I grabbed a pen and paper – yeah, I’m old school like that – I find doing math on paper helps more! I had to reduce it to get the year number.

  • 2 + 0 + 2 + 4 = 8

Figuring Out the Card

Okay, so the number for 2024 is 8. Now, in the Major Arcana of the tarot, each card has a number. So I needed to see which card is number 8, right?

I pulled out my tarot deck. I have The classic Rider-Waite deck, so I always go with that one. I flipped through the Major Arcana, looking for card number 8.

And There it was: Strength. Card number 8 is the Strength card.

What It All Means (Maybe)

Now, I’m no tarot expert, but I do have a couple of books and I like to poke around online. So I did a little reading up on the Strength card to see what it’s all about.

Basically, the Strength card isn’t about, like, lifting weights. It’s more about inner strength, courage, and having control over your wilder side.

I jotted down some notes about what the Strength card might mean for me in 2024.

It could be about finding my inner resilience, taming some bad habits, or just having more confidence.

So, that’s it! My Tarot Card of the Year for 2024 is Strength. I’m kinda curious to see how this plays out. It’s not like I’m gonna base every decision on this, but it’s a fun little thing to keep in mind. Maybe it’ll help me notice some patterns or challenges that I might have missed otherwise. I’ll have to report back at the end of the year and see if it was accurate!
