Okay, so yesterday I was totally zoning out, scrolling through TikTok as you do, and I kept seeing the number 8118. Like, everywhere. On different videos, in the comments, even the time on my phone! I was like, “Okay, universe, I get it, you’re trying to tell me something.” So, naturally, I Googled “8118 angel number meaning.”
What I Found (and was Skeptical About):
- Apparently, 8118 is a sign of abundance and new beginnings. Okay, cool, who doesn’t want that?
- It also said something about aligning with your life purpose. Now, that’s a bit heavier.
- A bunch of websites kept saying it meant I needed to focus on my financial goals. Which, yeah, I should be, but still…
My Experiment (Because I’m a Nerd Like That):
I decided to actually do something about it instead of just reading about it. Figured, what could it hurt?
- Day 1: Brain Dump & Goal Setting. I grabbed a notebook and just wrote down everything I’ve been wanting to achieve. Big goals, small goals, career stuff, personal stuff. Just got it all out.
- Day 2: Financial Check-Up. Okay, this was the scary part. I actually opened my bank statements, looked at my credit card debt, and started a (very basic) budget. Ugh.
- Day 3: Learning Something New. The “new beginnings” thing stuck with me. So I signed up for a free online course on Skillshare about something I’ve always been curious about: graphic design.
- Day 4: Networking (Ew, But Necessary). I hate networking events, but I forced myself to go to a local one for creatives. Surprisingly, I met some cool people!
- Day 5-7: Consistency (Trying My Best). I just tried to keep up with the course, stick to my budget (mostly), and focus on the goals I wrote down on Day 1.
The Results (So Far):
Honestly? I feel…better. Like, I actually feel like I’m moving forward instead of just drifting along. Did 8118 magically solve all my problems? Nope. But it did give me the kick in the pants I needed to actually start working towards my goals.
Here’s What I Learned:
- Angel numbers might be BS, but using them as a prompt for self-reflection and action? That’s actually pretty helpful.
- Financial check-ups are painful, but necessary.
- Learning new things is fun and makes you feel alive.
- Networking is still awkward, but sometimes you meet cool people.
Would I Recommend It?
Yeah, actually. Even if you don’t believe in angel numbers, try picking a random number and using it as a prompt to focus on a specific area of your life. You might be surprised at what you discover. And hey, if nothing else, you’ll have spent a week being a little more intentional about your life.
I’m going to keep seeing where this goes. Maybe 8118 is actually my lucky number. Or maybe it just means I need to stop scrolling TikTok so much. Either way, I’m going to keep working on myself and my goals.
