Okay, so I’ve been getting into tarot cards lately, and I wanted to try a simple horoscope spread. I’m no expert, but I figured, why not? It’s just for fun, right?
First, I grabbed my deck. I’ve got this Rider-Waite deck I picked up a while back. I shuffled the cards, just kind of thinking about the upcoming week and what I wanted some insight on. I’m not gonna lie, I still fumble a bit with shuffling – cards go flying sometimes. Practice makes perfect, I guess!
My DIY Horoscope Spread
I didn’t follow a super strict spread I found online. I mostly just winged it, laying out cards in a circle, one for each zodiac sign. I kinda pictured the zodiac wheel in my head while I did it.
- Aries (Me!) – What’s my main focus this week?
- Taurus – Anything about finances or resources?
- Gemini- How’s my Communication?
- Cancer- What about my family?
- Leo- Am I being creative enough?
- Virgo- What about my daily routine?
- Libra- Do I have a good relationship?
- Scorpio- Am I getting deeper into the things?
- Sagittarius- Any Travels?
- Capricorn- What about my career?
- Aquarius- Any group things?
- Pisces- What about my mental health?
Then I flipped them over, one by one. I’m not gonna go through every single card and what it supposedly means, because honestly, I’m still learning. But I jotted down some keywords for each card in my notebook.
It was pretty interesting! Some cards definitely seemed to resonate with what’s going on in my life right now. Others, I’m still scratching my head about. But I did see a lot of them has to do with each other.
The main takeaway? It was fun! It’s a cool way to reflect on things, even if you don’t totally believe in the “magic” of it all. I think I’ll try this again next week, maybe with a different spread. Might even try to learn the card meanings a little better…or at least enough to not have to Google every single one!
