First, I just started with a simple search. You know, just typed in “biblical meaning of 23” to see what would pop up. I got a bunch of different websites, some looking more reliable than others, of course.
Then I started to see some patterns. It seems many, many people associate 23 with Psalms 23.
- Psalms 23 is all about “The Lord is my Shepherd”, protection, and guidance.
I also saw that, some sources connect 23 to concepts of completeness or finishing something, but it’s not as strong a connection as the Psalm 23 thing. I mean, it wasn’t showing up on every site I checked.
Putting It All Together (My Best Guess)
After spending a good chunk of time reading through different interpretations, here’s my take, keep in mind, I’m no expert, just a curious person. I think that the strongest association of the number 23 in a biblical sense is heavily tied to Psalm 23. It’s hard to ignore when it’s referenced so often.
