Daily Career Tarot: Simple Readings for Work & Job Advice

Okay, so this morning I decided to shake things up a bit and try out this “daily career tarot” thing I’ve been hearing about. I’m not usually one for mystical stuff, but hey, why not? I figured it couldn’t hurt to get a little cosmic guidance on the work front.

Getting Started

First, I needed a deck. Luckily, I have some tarot cards for fun. Dusted off the box, and I was ready to roll.

Then, I needed to figure out how to actually do this.I found some basic instructions online, nothing too complicated. Basically, you shuffle the cards while thinking about your career, then draw one.

My Daily Draw

I closed my eyes, took a few deep breaths (trying to channel my inner zen master, which was a bit of a stretch), and shuffled the cards. I really focused on my current work situation, some challenges I’ve been facing, and what I’m hoping to achieve. Then, I pulled a card.

  • The Card: It was the “The Tower”.

Trying to get the meaning

My first thought? “Uh oh.” The Tower usually indicates major change, upheaval, and maybe even some chaos. Not exactly the most reassuring card when you’re thinking about your job!

I went back to look at it, to see what this particular card might mean for my * suggestion, was that maybe a big change is coming, whether I like it or not. It could mean a shake-up at work, a sudden shift in my projects, or even something bigger, like a job change.

The other advice given, was to embrace the change, to see it as an opportunity for growth and a chance to rebuild things better than before. Easier said than done, but it’s a good mindset to try and adopt.

Putting It All Together

So, what did I take away from my daily career tarot reading? Well, it definitely got me thinking. The Tower card served as a reminder that things are always changing, especially in the professional world. It encouraged me to be prepared for anything, to be adaptable, and to look for the silver linings even in tough situations. I have no clue if anything tower-ish is coming, but I do feel a bit more ready to tackle whatever comes my way. I might even make this a regular thing. A little daily dose of perspective, even if it comes from a deck of cards, can’t be a bad thing, right?
