Decoding Pentacles Tarot in Zodiac Readings: A Quick Guide

Okay, here’s my blog post about my pentacles tarot zodiac experiment. Let’s dive in!

My Pentacles Tarot Zodiac Journey: A Hands-On Experience

So, I got this crazy idea, right? I was like, “What if I combined tarot, specifically the Pentacles suit, with the zodiac signs?” It sounded kinda cool, and I wanted to see what would happen. Here’s how I went about it.

First, I grabbed my tarot deck. It’s a Rider-Waite-Smith, nothing fancy, just the one I’m most comfortable with. I know some people are all about specific decks for specific readings, but I figured I’d start simple.

Then, I made a list of all the zodiac signs. Obvious, I know, but gotta start somewhere! I just wrote them down in order: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces.

Next, and this is where it got interesting, I started trying to match up Pentacles cards with each sign. This wasn’t about strict astrological correspondence, more like gut feeling and what the images felt like.

Aries: I went with the Three of Pentacles. To me, it screamed collaboration and building something tangible, which felt like Aries’ energy of getting things done.
Taurus: This was easy. The Queen of Pentacles, all about nurturing and enjoying the finer things in life. Total Taurus vibes.
Gemini: I picked the Eight of Pentacles. All about learning new skills, being adaptable, and constantly refining your craft. Felt very Gemini to me!
Cancer: The Four of Pentacles seemed right for Cancer. Think about it – protecting what you have, creating a secure home.
Leo: This one took me a bit. I ended up choosing the Ten of Pentacles, not for wealth, but for legacy and a sense of belonging. Leo wants to create something lasting.
Virgo: I chose the Six of Pentacles. It’s about service and balance, giving and receiving. Just what Virgo represents.
Libra: I went with the Two of Pentacles. Balancing acts, juggling different responsibilities. Libra is all about harmony.
Scorpio: The Five of Pentacles. Facing the music and going through tough times. Exactly what Scorpio is about, transformation, resilience.
Sagittarius: Nine of Pentacles. You are your own boss and you are free to do what you want. A total representation of the archer.
Capricorn: King of Pentacles. Being in control of your finances, and a true leader. Capricorn’s energy all over this.
Aquarius: Page of Pentacles. Full of new ideas and being a visionary. What a great way to represent this water bearer.
Pisces: Seven of Pentacles. Always planting seeds and being patient. What a perfect way to represent Pisces.

Okay, so I had my matches. Then I did some test readings. I’d pull the Pentacles card I’d assigned to a person’s sun sign and see if it resonated. It wasn’t always a perfect fit, but more often than not, it gave me something to think about.

For example, I did a reading for my friend who’s a Taurus. I pulled the Queen of Pentacles (naturally!). It was a good reminder for her to focus on self-care and appreciate the good things she has in her life, which she’d been neglecting.

I also tried using the Pentacles/Zodiac combo for daily check-ins. Like, “Okay, what does the Pentacles card for today’s sun sign (say, it’s Gemini season) tell me I should focus on today?” It was a fun way to get a different perspective.

It’s not a foolproof system, and I wouldn’t use it for serious predictive readings. But it was a cool experiment that helped me connect with both tarot and astrology in a new way. I think I learned a lot about the energy of the Pentacles suit specifically, and how it can manifest in different areas of life.

Would I recommend you try it? Sure! Just go in with an open mind and don’t be afraid to experiment. See what resonates with you. That’s the whole point, right? Have fun with it!
