Okay, so, last night I had this weird dream, right? And there were pearls everywhere. Like, I was swimming in them, wearing them, even eating them, maybe? It was bizarre. Anyway, it got me thinking, what do dreams even mean? And more specifically, what’s the deal with pearls in dreams?
So, I grabbed my phone first thing this morning and started Googling. You know, the usual: “dream meaning pearls.” And let me tell you, the internet is a rabbit hole. I spent a good hour just clicking through different websites. Some said pearls mean wisdom, others said they’re a sign of tears or sadness. There was even one that said it means hidden knowledge. Honestly, it was all over the place.
Then, I remembered I have this dream journal app on my phone. I started using it a while back but kinda fell off the wagon. So, I opened it up and started logging my pearl dream. The app asked me all these questions, like how I felt in the dream, what the pearls looked like, and if I had any associations with pearls in real life. It was actually pretty helpful to think through all that stuff.

- I found this one book that was all about the symbolism of different objects in dreams. And guess what? They had a whole section on pearls. According to this book, pearls can represent purity, beauty, and innocence. But they can also symbolize something that’s hidden or difficult to attain.
- That kinda resonated with me because in the dream, I remember feeling overwhelmed by the pearls, but also drawn to them. Like I was searching for something within all those layers.
After all that, I still don’t have a definitive answer on what my pearl dream meant. But I guess that’s the thing about dreams, they’re not always straightforward. They’re more like puzzles or riddles. The fun of them is that they mean different things to different people. And I think the process of trying to figure them out is just as important as the actual meaning. At least, that’s what I’m taking away from this whole experience.
