Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this here… uh… “ethereal tarot deck,” whatever that means. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Like somethin’ them city folks would jabber about. But I reckon it’s just cards, same as the ones my grandma used to play solitaire with, only these got pictures on ’em.

Now, they say these cards go way back, to the 1930s or somethin’. Apparently, they used to put a black star, upside down like, on the corner of the “Fool” card. Said it was a valuable card, that Fool. Always wondered why they called it that. Seems kinda mean, callin’ somethin’ a fool. But I guess that’s how it goes. They tell ya this card, it’s important. Like in life, even the fools, they gotta part to play, you see? Makes ya think, don’t it?
This here “ethereal visions” deck, they say it’s all fancy and artsy. Got that “Art Nouveau” style, whatever that is. Sounds like somethin’ you’d find in a museum, not in my kitchen drawer. But the pictures, I gotta say, they’re pretty. Lots of swirls and curlicues. Not like them plain old cards with just hearts and diamonds. These got ladies in long dresses and fellas with fancy hats. And they tell stories, these pictures do. Stories about life, about love, about hard times and good times. They added in two extra cards too, the Well and the Artist. Don’t ask me what they mean. Guess it’s like addin’ more spice to the stew, ya know? Makes it a bit different.
- They talk about goddesses too, in some of these decks. Goddess cards, they call ’em. Same kinda cards, but with pictures of powerful women. Kinda like my Aunt Millie, she was a strong one, that woman. Could wrangle a chicken faster than anyone I know.
- And then there’s these “oracle decks.” Now those, they’re just for tellin’ fortunes, they say. Not like the regular cards, which I guess you can play games with too. These oracles, they just wanna tell you what’s gonna happen. Which, if you ask me, is a whole lotta hogwash. But folks like to hear it, so who am I to judge?
This deck I’m talkin’ about, this “ethereal visions” one, it’s got 80 cards. Not just 78 like some of ‘em. Two extra, like I said. Maybe they’re important, maybe they ain’t. It’s all in how you look at it, I reckon.
Some fella named Matt, he made these cards. Spent a lot of time on ‘em, I bet. Drawin’ all them fancy pictures. He even made a “Luna Edition,” they call it. Sounds like somethin’ outta a sci-fi movie, if you ask me. But folks seem to like it. They say it’s purdy. And it glows or somethin’. Lands sakes, I tell ya, people will believe anything these days.
Now, I ain’t no expert on these cards. Can’t tell you what they mean, not really. But I can tell you this: life’s a gamble, ain’t it? Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don’t. And maybe these cards, maybe they just remind you of that. They show you pictures of different paths, different choices. And it’s up to you to figure out which way to go. You get what I’m sayin’? It’s your life, your path, ain’t no cards gonna tell ya different.

So, whether it’s this “ethereal tarot deck” or just a plain old deck of cards, it don’t really matter. What matters is how you play the hand you’re dealt. That’s what my grandpa always used to say. And he was a smart fella, even if he couldn’t tell a tarot card from a biscuit. And that’s all there is to it, really. Don’t need no fancy words or fancy pictures to tell you that. Life’s simple, even when it seems complicated. Just gotta keep your eyes open and your feet on the ground. And maybe, just maybe, these cards can help you do that. Or maybe they’re just purdy pictures. Either way, it’s your call.
