Alright, so yesterday I was messing around with my tarot cards, specifically focusing on the “The Moon” and “The Sun” cards. Been feeling a bit stuck lately, ya know? Like wading through mud.
First things first, I grabbed my deck. It’s a pretty standard Rider-Waite Smith deck, nothing too fancy. I like the classic imagery, helps me connect better. Shuffled the deck a good few times, focusing on the general feeling of being lost and wanting some clarity. I really concentrated on getting the cards all mixed up.
Then, I decided on a simple three-card spread. Past, present, and future. Figured that’d give me a decent snapshot of where I’m at and where I might be heading. I drew the cards face down and laid them out in a row.
The first card, representing the past, was “The Moon.” Right off the bat, I felt a pang of recognition. This card always screams intuition, hidden things, and maybe a bit of illusion. Thinking back, yeah, the past few months have been filled with uncertainty and a lot of things I wasn’t quite seeing clearly. There were definitely some feelings that I ignored, things that were lurking beneath the surface. I had been straight up avoiding some tough issues.
Next up, the present. And boom! “The Sun” card pops up. Talk about a contrast! This card is all about joy, success, clarity, and vitality. It’s like, “Wake up, dude! The fog’s lifting!” I interpreted this as a signal that even though I’ve been through some murky stuff, things are starting to brighten up. I felt a small wave of relief wash over me. Like, finally some good news!
Finally, the future card. It was another card, but I want to concentrate the sun and the moon interaction. So to get to that feeling I reshuffled the deck a few times, focusing on the general feeling of the interaction between the two cards and wanting some clarity. I really concentrated on getting the cards all mixed up again.
I drew the card again. It was another card that was not important but to make the bridge with the sun and the moon I interpreted that as an action to make. The action of getting out there, of putting myself out in the sun, even if a part of the moon still exists.
So, what did I take away from this little session? It was like the cards were telling me, “Okay, you’ve been in the dark, but now’s the time to embrace the light.” I realized I needed to stop dwelling on the past uncertainties (the Moon) and focus on the opportunities that are now becoming clear (the Sun). It gave me a bit of a kick in the butt to start taking action and move forward with more confidence.
Overall, it was a pretty insightful experience. I’m not saying tarot cards are some magical fortune-telling device, but they can be a really useful tool for self-reflection. It’s like having a conversation with yourself, but with a visual aid and a bit of symbolism thrown in. Plus, it’s a fun way to spend an afternoon!
Just my two cents. Maybe give it a try sometime if you’re feeling lost or just curious. You might surprise yourself with what you discover.
