Okay, so I wanted to figure out if the Hierophant card in Tarot is a straight-up “yes” or “no” answer. I’ve been messing around with Tarot for a bit, and this one card kept popping up, so I figured I’d dig in.
I started by pulling out my trusty deck. I shuffled it like a madman, really focusing on my question. I was thinking about a commitment, to join some local orgnization, and I was not very sure about whether join them. You know, that feeling where you’re just not 100% sure?
I laid out a simple three-card spread – past, present, future. And guess what? The Hierophant showed up in the ‘present’ position. I’ve read before that this card is all about tradition, structure, and sometimes, institutions. So, my first thought was, “Okay, this is leaning towards a ‘yes’.”
- Past: Some other card I can’t quite remember, but it was about change.
- Present: The Hierophant. Bingo.
- Future: A generally positive card, suggesting good outcomes.
Diving Deeper into My Hierophant Experiment
I grabbed my notebook and started jotting down everything. I mean, I’ve seen people online say this is a “yes” card, but I had to see it for myself. I decided to do a bunch of readings, asking different “yes” or “no” questions, all related to things where I felt I needed some stability or guidance.
I tried with questions like “Is my direction of career right for me?” and “Should I stay in this relationship?”. Seriously, I went all in. And most of the time, when the Hierophant popped up, the other cards, and honestly, my gut feeling, pointed towards “yes”.
It wasn’t always a slam dunk. There were a couple of times when the surrounding cards were more negative, or just plain confusing. In those cases, I figured the Hierophant was more like a “maybe, but consider the traditional route” kind of answer. It wasn’t a hard “no,” but it definitely made me think twice.
After a few days of doing this, I started to feel more comfortable with my own commitment. The Hierophant kept showing up, reinforcing the idea that joining an organization I was concerned about wasn’t a bad idea. And, finally I decided to join that orgnization and it turned out a great decision. It was like the card was saying, “Yeah, go for it, it’s the solid, stable choice.” And you know what? It felt right.
