Okay, so today I decided to dive into the Justice card in Tarot. I’ve been meaning to get a better handle on the Major Arcana, and Justice seemed like a good one to really focus on.
First, I grabbed my trusty Rider-Waite deck. I just like the imagery on this one, makes it easier for me to connect with the cards, you know?
Getting Started
I started by just shuffling the deck, really trying to clear my mind and focus on, well, justice. What does it mean to me? What are the different aspects of it? Big questions, I know, but it felt like the right way to go.
Then I laid out the cards face down and just kind of hovered my hand over them until one felt…right. I picked it, and sure enough, it was the Justice card. Kind of spooky, but also kind of cool.
Deep Dive
- I spent a good chunk of time just looking at the card. The woman sitting there, the sword, the scales…all of it.
- I jotted down some initial thoughts in my notebook. Stuff like “balance,” “fairness,” “truth,” you know, the obvious stuff.
- Then, I started digging into some of my Tarot books. I have a few different ones, and it’s always interesting to see how different authors interpret the cards.
I read about the symbolism of the sword (representing the clarity and decisiveness of justice) and the scales (representing balance and fairness, duh!). I also learned that the Justice card is often associated with the legal system, which makes sense.
After the reading, I try to do a simple reading using the cards. It’s my first time doing a reading for myself using the Justice card, and I have been thinking about the lawsuit case I’m about to face. I have been very anxious, but the Justice card seems to hint that things might just end up in a fair resolution, despite all the complexity and headache.
Putting It All Together
By the end of my little study session, I felt like I had a much better understanding of the Justice card. It’s not just about courts and lawyers; it’s about finding balance in your own life, making fair decisions, and being accountable for your actions. It’s also to remind you to search for the truth and then stick to it.
It was a pretty productive day, Tarot-wise. I’m definitely going to keep practicing and try to incorporate the lessons of the Justice card into my everyday life. Might even try doing a few readings for friends and family, just to get some more practice.
