my future love tarot spread

Okay, so I’ve been feeling a bit curious about my future love life lately. Who hasn’t, right? I decided to try out this thing called a “My Future Love” tarot spread. I’ve dabbled in tarot before, just for fun, but I’m no expert. Still, I thought, why not? I wanted to record my own steps.

First, I found a quiet spot in my apartment. I lit a candle – a pink one, because, you know, love – and put on some chill music. Just to set the mood, you know? Then I grabbed my tarot deck. It’s a pretty standard Rider-Waite deck, nothing fancy.

I shuffled the cards while thinking about my question: “What’s in store for my future love life?” I tried to clear my mind and focus, but honestly, my thoughts were all over the place. I cut the deck three times, like I’d read somewhere you’re supposed to do, and then I was ready to start.

The Spread

This “My Future Love” spread is a pretty simple five-card layout. Here’s how I laid them out and what they’re supposed to represent:

  • Card 1: Me in my future relationship. This card is supposed to show my attitude and role.
  • Card 2: My future partner. A glimpse at their personality and characteristics.
  • Card 3: The foundation of the relationship. What our connection will be built on.
  • Card 4: Challenges we might face. Things we’ll need to work through.
  • Card 5: Potential outcome. Where the relationship is likely headed.

So, I flipped over the cards one by one, and… well, it was interesting! I’m not going to go into all the details, because some things are personal, but I will share a bit.

For “Me in my future relationship,” I got the Queen of Cups. I looked it up, and it’s all about being compassionate, caring, and emotionally mature. Okay, I can vibe with that! I hope that’s how I’ll be.

The “My future partner” card was the Knight of Swords. This one was a bit more…intense. It talks about someone who is ambitious, action-oriented, and maybe a bit impulsive. Definitely different from the Queen of Cups, but opposites attract, right?

The “foundation” card was the Two of Cups – a pretty classic card for partnerships and connection. It suggests a strong emotional bond and mutual respect. I liked seeing that one!

“Challenges” was the Five of Pentacles. This card is sometimes interpreted to symbolize hardships, and feeling left out in the cold. Sounds we might have to face up some tough times.

And finally, the “Potential outcome” card was The Sun. A super positive card! It’s all about joy, success, and happiness. So, after some hard time(Five of Pentacles), we are going to be happy!

After I laid out all the cards, I spent some time just looking at them and thinking about what they might mean. I even jotted down some notes in my journal. It’s not like I think this is a definitive prediction of my future, but it definitely gave me some food for thought. It was a fun little exercise, and it helped me reflect on what I’m looking for in a relationship and what I need to work on myself. Whether or not it comes true, who knows! But it was a fun way to spend an evening. Maybe I’ll try another spread next week!
