Okay, so I’ve been seeing these “free one-card tarot readings” popping up all over the place, and I finally decided to give it a shot myself. I mean, why not, right? It’s free, and who doesn’t love a little peek into the supposed future?
Getting Started
First, I cleared my workspace. Just kind of pushed everything aside to make a nice, clean area. I grabbed the tarot deck I’ve had for years (honestly, mostly for decoration), and shuffled it a few times. I’m not gonna lie, I felt a little silly, but I tried to focus on a general question about my week ahead. Nothing too specific, just “What do I need to know about this week?”
The Process (It’s Super Simple)
With the question in mind, I shuffled some more, then cut the deck into three piles and restacked them. I have no idea where I learned that process, I just did it. Then, I fanned the cards out face down on the table and hovered my hand over them. It felt kind of weird, like I was waiting for a sign or something. Finally, I just picked one that felt… right. I can’t really explain it any other way.
My Card and Interpretation
I flipped the card over, and it was The Star. Honestly, my first thought was, “Oh, that looks pretty!” I know very little about Tarot, so I grabbed my phone and started typing in, what does the star mean in a one card tarot reading. I scrolled through a few sites and got the general gist: hope, inspiration, positivity, renewal. Okay, cool! Seems pretty good.
- Hope: This makes sense. I’ve been feeling a bit stuck lately, so a little hope is welcome.
- Inspiration: Maybe this means I’ll get some new ideas for my blog or other projects.
- Positivity: Definitely need more of that in my life!
- Renewal: I like the sound of that. A fresh start, maybe?
My Takeaway
So, did this one-card reading change my life? Probably not. But it did give me a little boost of positivity, and it was a fun, quick exercise. It’s a reminder to look for the good things and to stay open to new possibilities. I might even do it again next week, just for kicks. If nothing else it gave me an idea for my blog. And this blog is all about documentation of the little life hacks I try.
