Spirit Tarot Cards: Simple Guide (Unlock Their Meanings Today)

Okay, so I’ve been meaning to mess around with spirit tarot cards for a while now, and today I finally got around to it. I’m no expert, just someone curious about this stuff, so I figured I’d share my little experiment.

Getting Started

First things first, I needed some cards. I didn’t want to commit to a fancy deck just yet, so I printed out a basic Rider-Waite set I found online. It wasn’t pretty, just black and white images on regular paper, but it did the trick. I cut them out, trying my best to make them somewhat uniform, but honestly, they were a bit of a mess. Oh well, part of the charm, right?

The “Reading”

Next, I cleared a little space on my kitchen table – my usual spot for anything messy or experimental. I didn’t do any fancy cleansing rituals or anything, just took a few deep breaths to kinda center myself. My intention was pretty simple: I just wanted to see what, if anything, the cards might “say” about my current state of mind.

I shuffled the cards, really just mixing them around haphazardly. I’m pretty sure there’s a proper way to do this, but I just went with my gut. Then, I laid out three cards in a simple past-present-future spread. Again, probably not textbook, but it felt right.

My Card Selection Results

  • Past: The Five of Cups. Okay, this one kinda resonated. It’s all about loss and disappointment, and yeah, I’ve had my share of that lately.
  • Present: The Magician. This felt… interesting. It’s about manifestation and power, which is something I’ve been trying to work on. Made me think I might be on the right track.
  • Future: The Star. Hope, inspiration, faith… this one gave me a little boost. A reminder to keep my head up, I guess.

Making Sense of It (Or Trying To)

So, did I have some profound spiritual awakening? Nah. But it was an interesting exercise. Looking at those three cards, even though they were just flimsy pieces of paper, made me reflect on things a bit. The Five of Cups acknowledged some recent struggles, The Magician encouraged me to keep pushing forward, and The Star offered a glimmer of optimism.

Maybe it was the symbolism, maybe it was just me projecting my own thoughts onto the cards, but it felt… useful. Like a little nudge to think about things from a different perspective.

Wrapping Up

I definitely wouldn’t call myself a tarot reader now, but I’m glad I tried it. It was a fun, low-stakes way to tap into my intuition a bit. I might even invest in a real deck someday, and maybe, just maybe, learn a little more about the proper way to do things. But for now, this little kitchen table experiment was enough to spark my curiosity and leave me feeling a little more… connected, I guess. If you are interested in this, I suggest you try it.
