Want Family Peace? Try Tarot Readings for Family Harmony.

Okay, so the other day, I was feeling like things were a bit tense at home. You know, the usual – everyone’s busy, a little stressed, and snapping at each other. I figured, why not try something different? I’ve been dabbling with tarot cards for a while, mostly just for fun, but I thought maybe I could use them to get some insight into what’s going on with the family dynamic.

Setting the Mood

First things first, I needed to create a calm space. I cleared off the dining table, lit a candle (lavender, because it’s supposed to be relaxing), and put on some chill background music. No phones, no TV, just a quiet space to focus.

Choosing a Spread

I didn’t want anything too complicated, so I went with a simple three-card spread. I figured that was enough to get a sense of things without being overwhelming. The three cards will represent:

  • Card 1: The overall atmosphere in the home.
  • Card 2: The main challenge or conflict.
  • Card 3: How to improve the situation.

Doing the Reading

I shuffled the deck while thinking about my family and the recent tension. I really tried to focus my intention on getting some clarity and guidance. Then, I cut the deck and laid out the three cards face down.

I flipped over the first card – the overall atmosphere. It was… well, it wasn’t great. It showed a lot of chaos and miscommunication. Made sense, honestly.

The second card, the main challenge, pointed towards a lack of understanding and empathy. Ouch. That hit a little close to home. We’d all been so caught up in our own stuff, we weren’t really listening to each other.

Finally, the third card – how to improve things. This one was more positive! It suggested open communication, taking the time to really hear each other out, and maybe even planning some fun activities together.

Putting it into Practice

So, the reading gave me some food for thought. It wasn’t magic, but it did highlight some pretty obvious issues we’d been ignoring. That evening, I suggested a family game night. At first, everyone was a bit hesitant (teenagers, you know?), but we ended up having a good time. We talked, we laughed, and it felt like some of the tension eased up.

I also made a conscious effort to really listen when someone was talking, instead of just waiting for my turn to speak. It’s a work in progress, for sure, but I think we’re slowly starting to reconnect. The tarot reading wasn’t a miracle cure, but it did give me a starting point and some helpful reminders. I might even make this a regular thing – a little check-in to see how we’re all doing and what we can do to keep the peace at home. It is a pretty good experience!
