What are spirits of the tarot? Get a quick guide for beginners now

Okay, so the other day, I decided to dive into this whole “spirits of the tarot” thing. I’ve always been a little curious about tarot cards, you know, but this time I wanted to see if I could actually connect with some kind of spirit through them. Sounded kinda wild, I know, but I was feeling adventurous.

First, I had to pick out a tarot deck. I didn’t want to use my usual one, so I went to this little shop downtown and found one that just felt right. It had these cool, mystical-looking designs that really caught my eye. It is important to choose a deck that resonates with you.

Once I had my deck, I figured I needed to get my head in the right space. I lit some candles, put on some chill music, and tried to clear my mind. Then, I held the deck in my hands, closed my eyes, and just focused on my breathing for a while. I imagined connecting with a positive, guiding energy.

  • Pick a quiet spot: I sat on the floor in my living room, where it was nice and peaceful.
  • Cleanse the deck: I’ve heard some people like to do this thing where they knock on the deck or wave it through incense smoke. I just held it tight and visualized any weird energy flowing out.
  • Set an intention: I whispered to myself, “I’m open to connecting with a spirit guide through these cards.” I tried to make the intention clear and positive.

With my intention set, I started shuffling the cards. I asked a simple question in my mind: “What message do you have for me today?” Then, I pulled out three cards and laid them out in front of me.

I spent some time looking at the cards, not just trying to remember what they “officially” mean, but also seeing what feelings and thoughts popped into my head. I jotted down some notes in my journal – just random stuff, images, or feelings that came up.

Trying to Interpret

This part was a bit tricky. I tried to link the meanings of the cards together to form a coherent message. It wasn’t super clear, but I felt like the cards were telling me to trust my instincts and embrace change. I tried not to force an interpretation and just let whatever came to mind flow. I wrote down any impressions, even if they seemed a bit out there. Sometimes it felt like a conversation, other times just a vague sense of knowing.

After I felt like I got the gist of it, I thanked the cards (and any spirits that might have been hanging around) and put them away. I blew out the candles and sat there for a bit, reflecting on the whole experience. I write down all the experiences in my notebook. It really help me to remember and learn.

Honestly, the whole thing was pretty interesting. I can’t say for sure that I actually connected with a spirit, but it definitely felt like I tapped into something, maybe just a deeper part of myself. I’m thinking of making this a regular thing, like maybe once a week. I kept practicing, and I start to feel more confident in my interpretations. I also started to notice patterns in the cards I drew, which is pretty cool. It’s like I’m developing my own little language with the deck. It’s a journey, and I’m excited to see where it takes me.
