Okay, so today I decided to mess around with tarot cards, specifically focusing on the 2 of Diamonds. I’ve always been curious about tarot, but never really dived in, you know?
Getting Started
First, I grabbed my deck. It’s a pretty standard Rider-Waite deck I picked up a while back. I shuffled the cards a few times, trying to “clear my mind” or whatever. Honestly, I felt a little silly, but I went with it.
Focusing on the Card
I spread the cards out face down and just kind of hovered my hand over them until one felt… right? I don’t know how else to describe it. I flipped it over, and boom – 2 of Diamonds.
I spent a good few minutes just staring at the card. You know, really looking at it.
- It shows a figure juggling, this two pentacles, and a lemniscate(infinity symbol) around the pentacles.
- There are ships sailing on the sea behind.
- The guy looks sort of balanced, but also maybe a little stressed.
My Interpretation (and Some Googling)
At first, I tried to figure it out on my own. I thought, “Okay, juggling… balance… maybe making choices?” Then, because I’m me, I jumped online to see what other people thought.
Seemed like my initial thoughts weren’t too far off. I read about the 2 of Diamonds relating to:
- Handling multiple priorities.
- Adapting to change.
- Staying flexible.
- Maybe some financial ups and downs.
Putting it Together
I thought about my own life and where I’m at right now. I’m definitely juggling a few things – work, family, trying to keep up with my hobbies. It’s a lot!
The card felt like a reminder to stay adaptable. Things are always changing, and I need to roll with the punches. It also made me think about managing my resources, not just money, but time and energy too.
I took the card to my desk, I thought i should keep it with me, to make sure I can roll with the punches. And I took a photo and save it to my phone.
It was a surprisingly cool experience. I’m not sure if I’m a total tarot convert now, but it definitely gave me something to think about. Might make this a regular thing!
