So, I’ve been digging into the Bible lately, trying to figure out what some of these numbers actually mean. You know, like, why does the number 4 pop up so much? It’s everywhere! I started this whole thing because I was reading Genesis, and it got me thinking about the creation story.

First, I grabbed my Bible and a notebook. I flipped through the pages, just browsing, and yeah, 4 is all over the place. I started jotting down every instance I could find where the number 4 showed up. Old Testament, New Testament, didn’t matter. I wrote it all down. My notebook started filling up pretty fast.
Then, I decided to hit the internet. I typed in “biblical meaning of 4” into the search bar. Lots of articles popped up. I clicked on a few and started reading. Most of them said something about the number 4 representing completeness or universality. They talked about the four directions – north, south, east, west, and how that kind of represents the whole world.
I also found some interesting stuff about the number 4 being connected to God’s creation. Like, the physical world and material universe were often associated with the number 4. Because it’s like, 3 is God’s number, you know, the Trinity. It’s kinda make sense if 4 represents the creative work of God, especially, but not limited to, the material universe and physical world. I scribbled some more notes about that, trying to wrap my head around it.
- I even stumbled upon some stuff about other cultures and religions using the number 4. Like, some ancient cultures considered it a sacred number. That was kind of a cool detour.
- Some articles mentioned specific deities associated with 4, like Jupiter, Odin, and Zeus. And the colors green and emerald, and gemstones like jade. I didn’t really dig into that too much, but it was interesting to see.
- Also, there was one thing about how the number 888 is sometimes used to represent Jesus, which is like the opposite of 666, the number of the beast. That was kind of mind-blowing!
I spent a good few hours going down this rabbit hole. I learned that the number 4 shows up a lot in stories about God calling people. Like, in the story of Samuel, God called him four times. It’s like God is really patient, you know? He keeps calling until we finally listen. That was a pretty cool takeaway.
After all this digging, I’m still not sure I have all the answers. But I definitely have a better understanding of why the number 4 is so important in the Bible. It’s like a symbol of God’s creation and his completeness. It’s everywhere, and now I can’t unsee it! This whole thing was a pretty cool learning experience. Maybe I’ll look into some other numbers next. What do you guys think about number 7?
