What questions should I ask in a soulmate tarot reading? Get clearer answers about love.

My Little Experiment with Soulmate Tarot

Okay, so I decided to try one of those “soulmate tarot” spreads the other day. Wasn’t really expecting lightning bolts or anything, just felt kind of curious, you know? Sometimes you just get an idea in your head and want to see it through. So, I thought, why not? Let’s give it a whirl.

First thing, I needed my cards. I just used my standard deck, the one I’ve had for ages. It feels comfortable in my hands. Found myself a quiet spot, just sat down at my kitchen table. Nothing fancy, no special candles or incense this time, just me and the cards. I think it’s more about your headspace anyway.

Then came the shuffling. I spent a good amount of time doing that, just shuffling and thinking about the whole idea of a soulmate. Not asking a super specific question like “When will I meet them?”, more like putting the general energy of ‘soulmate connection’ into the deck. I shuffled until it felt ‘right’, you know that feeling?

I decided not to use a complicated spread. Sometimes those have way too many positions, gets confusing. I just went with a simple three-card pull: Past, Present, Future regarding this soulmate idea. Seemed straightforward enough for what I wanted.

So, I laid them out. Card one (Past): This one kind of made sense, seemed to talk about past experiences or beliefs about relationships. It wasn’t exactly earth-shattering news, felt pretty familiar.

Card two (Present): This one was a bit more about where I am now. It felt like it was pointing towards working on myself, like self-love or being content on my own. Not the romantic bombshell I might have half-expected, but okay, interesting.

Card three (Future): This is always the juicy one, right? It wasn’t super clear cut. Didn’t show a knight in shining armor riding up. It felt more… potential? Like, the path isn’t set, it depends on the ‘Present’ stuff maybe. It felt more like an ‘if-then’ situation rather than a definite ‘yes’ or ‘no’.

After laying them out, I just sat there looking at them for a bit. Trying to piece together a story. It wasn’t like the cards shouted “Your soulmate is arriving next Tuesday!”. It was more subtle. My takeaway was less about predicting a person and more about my own journey towards being ready for that kind of deep connection, whenever or however it might happen.

Honestly, doing the reading was more of a reflective exercise. Did it tell me who my soulmate is? Nope. But it did make me think about my own attitudes and where my focus is right now. Sometimes just the act of sitting down and thinking through something with the cards helps organize your thoughts. So yeah, that was my little adventure with the soulmate tarot. Just thought I’d share the process.
