Yes or No Tarot Wheel Reading: Accurate Answers?

Okay, here’s my blog post about my little tarot wheel project, just like you asked!

## My “Yes or No” Tarot Wheel Adventure

Alright, so I’ve been messing around with tarot for a while now, mostly just for fun and personal reflection. But sometimes you just want a straight answer, right? Like, is this a good idea? Should I order that pizza? You know, the important stuff! That’s when I thought, “Hey, why not build a little ‘yes or no’ tarot wheel?”

First off, I grabbed my tarot deck. I figured, if I’m gonna build something based on tarot, I should at least use actual tarot cards! I decided the Wheel of Fortune card would be my guide. I remembered reading somewhere that upright it means “yes,” and reversed, it’s a “no.” Seemed simple enough.

Then, the brainstorming began. I didn’t want some complicated app or anything. Just a simple way to visualize the “yes” or “no.” I pictured a spinning wheel, kind of like those prize wheels you see at carnivals.

Next, I had to figure out the “how.” I’m not a super hardcore programmer, but I know enough to be dangerous. I settled on using some basic HTML, CSS, and a tiny bit of JavaScript. I started by drawing a circle in HTML with CSS. This was my wheel. I divided it into two halves, one side I colored green for “yes,” the other red for “no.” Real subtle, I know.

The tricky part was getting the wheel to spin. I dug around on the internet and found some JavaScript code that could rotate an HTML element. I tweaked it and modified it until it did what I wanted. Basically, I added a button that, when clicked, would make the wheel spin randomly for a few seconds and then stop.

To make it a bit more tarot-y, I added an image of the Wheel of Fortune card in the center of the wheel. When you hit the spin button, the card spins along with the wheel.

Now, the real test: does it actually work? I tried it a bunch of times, asking all sorts of questions. “Should I have another coffee?” (The wheel said yes… maybe too often!). “Should I clean my apartment?” (It said no. Figures.)

I even showed it to a few friends. They thought it was pretty fun, even if they didn’t believe in tarot. It’s just a silly little project, but it gave me a chance to play around with some code and explore a different way of thinking about tarot.

Would I use it for serious life decisions? Probably not. But for deciding what to have for dinner? Absolutely!

So, yeah, that’s the story of my “yes or no” tarot wheel. A fun little project that combined my love of tarot with my (very basic) coding skills. I even thought about adding more tarot cards to the wheel, maybe assigning other “yes” or “no” meanings to them. Like, I read that the Emperor card generally implies a “Yes”, and the Strength Tarot Card signifies a powerful “yes.” But for now, I’m happy with my simple Wheel of Fortune spinner. Who knows what I’ll build next!
