Okay, so I’ve been getting into Tarot lately, and I wanted to try a simple “Yes or No” reading. I’m no expert, but I figured, why not give it a shot? Here’s how it went down:
Getting Started
First, I grabbed my Tarot deck. I’ve got the classic Rider-Waite deck, which is what most people suggest. I made sure I was in a quiet spot, you know, where I could actually concentrate.
I took a few deep breaths to chill out. Then, I shuffled the cards while thinking about my question. It’s important to be really specific. I went with, “Will I get that project finished by Friday?” – simple and to the point.
The Shuffle and Cut
I kept shuffling until it felt “right.” There’s no real rule here, just go with your gut. Once I felt good about the shuffle, I cut the deck into three piles, using my left hand (some people say this is important, others don’t – I just do it this way).
Then, I restacked the piles, putting the top pile on the bottom, the middle pile on top, and the bottom pile in the middle. Again, just my personal preference.
Drawing the Card
Now for the big reveal! I spread the cards out face down and hovered my hand over them until one just… felt right. I flipped it over, and… it was The Star!
Interpreting the Card
Okay, so I’m still learning the meanings, so I quickly grabbed my little guidebook that came with the deck (totally cheating, I know). The Star, it turns out, is generally a positive card, symbolizing hope, inspiration, and renewed faith. Pretty good sign!
- Upright Star: Big YES! This suggests optimism and things going my way.
- Reversed Star: This could mean I’m feeling doubtful or lacking faith. Could be a “No,” or at least a “Maybe, but it’ll be tough.”
Mine was upright, so I’m taking that as a strong “Yes!” I’ll finish the project by Friday. Woohoo!
Wrapping Up
After the reading, I thanked the cards (sounds weird, but it feels right). I put the card back in the deck and shuffled them again, just to kind of “reset” things.
This was a super simple “Yes or No” reading, and honestly, it was fun! I’m not saying I’m a Tarot master now, but it’s a cool way to tap into my intuition and maybe get a little guidance. I’m going to try some more of these.
