Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “Love Story” tarot deck all over my socials, and, you know, I finally caved. I got it. And let me tell you, the unboxing alone was an experience. The box itself is gorgeous, all deep blues and gold accents, it felt really fancy. Then I opened it up, and whoa, the cards are stunning. Really beautiful artwork, all flowy and romantic, you know?
So, naturally, I had to try them out right away. I’m no tarot expert, mind you. I’ve dabbled a bit, read a few books, but mostly I just do it for fun. I cleared a little space on my coffee table, lit a candle (because, vibe), and shuffled the deck. I really took my time shuffling, trying to, like, connect with the cards, you know? Put my energy into them.
My First Reading
- I decided to do a simple three-card spread. You know, past, present, future. Classic.
- I focused on a general love question. Nothing too specific, just like, “What’s the energy around my love life right now?”
- I laid out the cards, face down, and then, one by one, I flipped them over.
Okay, so the past card was the “Two of Cups.” Which, from what I remember, is all about partnership and connection. Makes sense, I had a pretty good relationship a while back. The present card? “The Lovers.” Whoa, okay. Big card. That one’s about choices and, well, love, obviously. Feeling a bit seen, not gonna lie. And the future card? “The Star.” Which is, like, hope and inspiration. I’m choosing to take that as a good sign!
Honestly, the whole thing was just really… nice. Even if you don’t totally believe in the tarot, it’s a cool way to just think about things, you know? Reflect a little. And these cards? They definitely helped me do that. I’m not saying they magically solved all my love life questions, but they gave me some stuff to ponder. Plus, they’re just so pretty to look at! I’m definitely going to keep playing around with them. Maybe I’ll even try a more complicated spread next time. We’ll see!
