Okay, so I’ve been meaning to mess around with this “Tarot of Dreams” deck for a while now, and I finally got around to it today. I gotta say, the artwork is seriously stunning, like, whoa. But more than that, I wanted to see if I could actually use it for a reading, not just stare at the pretty pictures.
Getting Started
First things first, I cleared off my desk – gotta have a clean space, you know? Then, I lit a candle. Don’t ask me why, it just felt right. Makes the whole thing feel more… intentional, I guess. I shuffled the deck, like, a lot. While I was shuffling, I was thinking about a question I had. It wasn’t anything super heavy, just something I’d been kind of mulling over about a project I’m working on.
The Reading
I decided to do a simple three-card spread. You know, past, present, future. Easy peasy. I laid out the cards, face down, and then one by one, flipped them over.
- Past: I’m not gonna lie, I don’t remember the exact card. I’d need to look it up. But it shows a image. I was like, “Yep, checks out,” because my last shot at this project was kind of a… mess.
- Present: This card shows… So, my interpretation of this card is … It totally resonated, because right now I do feel like I’m starting from a more stable place.
- Future: This card is interesting… It shows… I think the image means… I’m still trying to figure out, but it seems pretty positive. Maybe a little warning in there too, not to get too carried away.
My Thoughts
Honestly, the whole process was pretty cool. Even if you don’t believe in tarot, it’s a great way to kind of… think through things. Like, the cards give you these images and ideas, and you have to figure out how they apply to your situation. It’s like a weird form of brainstorming.
I took some notes in my journal about the reading, and I’m going to keep checking back on it. See if the “future” card starts to make more sense as things unfold. I might even try another reading next week, just to see what comes up. I’m not saying I’m a total convert, but I’m definitely intrigued. It’s more thought-provoking than I expected!
